We rejoice that Paul Thomas was consecrated as the first Bishop of Oswestry on 2nd February 2023, the feast of Candlemas, at Canterbury Cathedral. Thanks be to God!

Those of us able to attend were both honoured and humbled to be a part of such an historic occasion.
Here at the NPTM we continue to offer our love and prayers to Bishop Paul, Louisa his wife, and to their sons as they continue to adjust to a new life here in the Midlands.
We also thank the Archbishop of Canterbury for his continued support of catholic Anglicans and for presiding at the ordination and consecration; and we affirm our commitment to love, charity, and mutual flourishing within The Church of England, proudly asserting the ‘Anglo’ part of Anglo-Catholicism.
The Bishop is mindful of the need for renewal in the catholic life, liturgy, and practical outreach across the new See, and we greatly look forward to working with him to bring the beauty of holiness, and the joy of the Gospel to the people of this Team and parish!  We are also eager to welcome him to join us soon for the celebration of the eucharistic banquet.
