Are you ready for the new Season?
Here in the North Potteries, and especially at Holy Trinity, we know just how important Port Vale Football Club is to so many of you and so we wanted to do our bit to get behind the Club and support them the best way we know how – in prayer and worship!
Valiant Church
Following on from the last fews Seasons Holy Trinity is getting ready once more to host a short, very informal, service before home games, and from time to time we may have a few special visitors!
Currently we begin at 1.30pm (or an hour and a half before kick off when at other times) and run for about 20 minutes, why not bring your young (or even not so young!) Valiant along? We’ll be praying for the teams, for the coaching staff, for Carol and for all who work at the Vale, but it isn’t just about praying for another mighty victory, we want to help engage fans with all that the club is doing, the Port Vale Foundation, Bescura, and everything else as well.
So whether it is a new striker, injuries on (or off!) the pitch, or simply the well being of the Port Vale family we want to bring it all to the Lord.

A Prayer for Port Vale
Lord God,
you teach us to run the race before us:
be with us your servants, the family of Port Vale Football Club,
that on the pitch, in the stands, and in the board room,
we may always strive towards our goal –
to perform to our best, to support one another, and to serve our
community, of whatever background, faith, or allegiance,
that we may give glory to you.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever. Amen!
