EASTER DAY OF THE LORD’S RESURRECTION

I am a pro-active type, you know the one with paracetamol, plasters, tissues and safety pins in her bag, I think most women are. Certainly the women who had followed Jesus to his death were. They must have bought the spices for embalming in advance (remember the day before was The Sabbath) knowing they would be needed. They had watched where he was taken, and gone there as soon as possible, but perhaps not anticipating that they would need help moving the stone…? But in all their preparation they had not understood the most important thing of all, that Jesus had promised to return on the third day. But overall I think you have to give them ten out of ten for effort don’t you? And they would soon be able to be the first to shout, “He is risen, risen indeed, Hallelujah” Happy Easter.
