A Prayer for Ukraine
May we pray for the world that in this moment of crisis that we may be able to reach out in solidarity and love to our brothers and sisters in need. May we walk in your ways so that peace and justice become a reality particularly for the people of Ukraine (and also for the people of Russia) and for all the world. Bring wisdom, compassion and courage to our leaders that, in Your name, they may soon find a way forward to end the bloodshed and despair now prevailing in Ukraine.

Lent Groups
This year the Lent Group will meet to reflect on the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary, considering one each week. The group meets on Thursday evenings, 7pm at S. Saviour’s Church.
For those for whom evenings are difficult we have decided to make more of the Lent Lunches that had been a mainstay of S. Saviour’s Lent program. During Lent and Eastertide we shall be restoring the 12noon mass at S. Saviour’s and following that there will be a free soup and roll lunch with donations collected for the Bishop’s Lent Appeal. To make conversation a little more focused the brief homily will reflect on an aspect of the fundamental themes of the Christian faith (following the pattern but not content of the Alpha Course) then during lunch we will have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions. All are welcome but an idea of numbers will be helpful!
Civic Prayer Breakfast
The Civic Prayer Breakfast returns to the calendar again this year. In the past this has been a great event and an opportunity to meet with other Christians from a range of traditions to be encouraged and supported and to pray together for our city. The prayer breakfast takes place on Friday 1st April at the King’s Hall in Stoke, doors open at 7am for a prompt 7.30am start. Tickets are still £10 for a cooked breakfast, please see Fr Andrew for more details.
