Fr Glen says “Thank you!”

Our Curate, Fr Glen, was ordained to the sacred priesthood one month ago this weekend on June 26th, here at S. Werburgh’s Church by +Jonathan, our Bishop of Ebbsfleet.

The last month has simply flown by, and Fr Glen (under the watchful eye and guiding hand of Fr Andrew) was quick to offer Mass at each of the churches in the team ministry.

Fr Glen says:

I would like to thank everyone who participated in preparing for my ordination at S. Werburgh’s. To everyone who cleaned, cooked, dusted, polished, hoovered, carried, moved, and generally went about making it a day to remember – thank you!

Thanks also to everyone who attended, locally and from afar, to my dear friends and family – and to Fr James Mosher from Pusey House who deaconed on the day! I have never seen S. Werburgh so full of people; a joy to behold. To all of you, thank you!

Very special thanks to Fr Andrew and his wife, Sarah; to my wife Alison, my daughter Anna, and nephew Myles. Amazing work in such a short amount of time! I had no idea of the efforts you had all gone to, especially as you all timed your tasks when I was out of the way!

My heartfelt thanks for all the kind words and cards received, together with the most generous gifts of which I shall wear, consume, read, gaze at, and enjoy for a very long time to come. I am truly blessed to be part of the North Potteries family.

Thanks also to everyone who came to my first Mass at Holy Trinity. A truly momentous occasion, again made all the more special by your attendance and participation. Special thanks to Frs Luke Demetri and James Walton who deaconed for me, as well as to those seminarians and friends who descended from S. Stephen’s House, Oxford.
