Liturgical days:
Next to each date is the liturgical day we are celebrating – sometimes this is a particular feast or saint’s day, this is indicated by their name and something about them: Ap = Apostle, M = Martyr, PM = Pope (Pontifex Maximus), Bp = Bishop, Pr = Priest, Dn = Deacon, Dr = Doctor of the Church, Ab = Abbot/Abbess, Rel = Religious, and so on. Associated with that is the colour of the day, this is reflected in the vestments at mass and the altar hangings through the day
Liturgical colours:
G = Green. W = White. R = Red. P = Purple. Bl = Black. Gold. Rose.
Prayer intentions:
Beneath each date, in brackets, is the day’s intention for prayer – if you would like a mass said on a particular day or for a particular occasion please be in touch with Fr Andrew or Fr Philip.
