THE MOST HOLY AND UNDIVIDED TRINITY

Today we celebrate the Most Holy Trinity. A difficult concept I think both clergy and laity would agree. But breaking it down, I think, we have a God who wants us to know that he is not some distant figure on a cloud but rather a Father who wants to experience and share the highs and lows of everyday life and came to earth as the Son in order to show us he has done this. And that, recognising that when the time came for Him to leave us as it were, we would need supporting, He wanted to give us part of Himself, the Spirit, to remain with us and to help us, yet at no point ceasing to be fully God, Father – Son – Holy Spirit, best way I can explain it to myself.
