FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

This coming Thursday 2nd February (Candlemass) we pray for Fr Paul Thomas as he is to be consecrated Bishop of Oswestry at Canterbury Cathedral. We pray for his episcopal ministry, and give thanks to God:

Heavenly Father,
bless the bishops, clergy and people of The Society.
Bind us together in love and faith.
Renew us in service and witness.
And by your Holy Spirit
Guide our future and make plain your purposes.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Saint Wilfrid, pray for us.
Saint Hilda, pray for us.

This coming Sunday 5th February is the Patronal Festival of S. Werburgh, Abbess and Co-Patron of this Parish. Please do join us for this most special service, 10.30am at S. Werburgh’s.
